Alliant Techsystems (NYSE: ATK) has introduced InfoLinker™ Lite, the newest product in its DocMaestro™ family of hyperlinking and document management software developed by Alliant Defense Electronics Systems, Inc., Clearwater, Fla.
Jose Mera, DocMaestro business area manager, said InfoLinker Lite is the only software product on the market today that automatically adds hyperlinks to portable document files.
"InfoLinker Lite generates hyperlinks and bookmarks from a document's table of contents to its headings, paragraphs, sections, and appendices," said Mera. "It also links tables and figures listed in the table of contents to where they are found in the document. These features allow users to navigate through their documents in the same way we move from link to link on the Internet."
Mera said InfoLinker Lite runs on Windows 95 and NT platforms and is an Adobe Acrobat Exchange plug-in. The linked portable document files can be viewed across all platforms using Adobe Acrobat Exchange or Adobe's free Reader. The minimum system requirements for the software are an IBM compatible 486 PC with 8 MB memory and 5 MB hard drive space, Windows 95 or NT operating system, and Adobe Acrobat Exchange 3.0.
InfoLinker Lite is being marketed through direct sales and authorized value added resellers (VARs). The purchase price is $395 for a single user.
DocMaestro software is the most advanced hyperlinking and document management software on the market today, providing the highest quality management tools for both Portable Document Format (PDF) documents and raster documents. It allows users of electronic documents to not only manage their documents quickly and easily, but also add hyperlinks within and between documents and other applications, including multimedia files, graphics, and photographs. The software is PC-based and runs on Microsoft Windows operating systems.
The new 32-bit InfoLinker Lite program is based on InfoLinker™, the most popular product in the DocMaestro line. Other DocMaestro products are AnyMedia™, LinkManager™, LibraryManager™, and DocDepot™. Alliant offers complete training and product support services for all DocMaestro products.
