ATK (NYSE: ATK) (Alliant Techsystems) said it has named Scott S. Meyers president and Eric S. Rangen vice president and chief financial officer. Both will report to chief executive officer Paul David Miller (PDM).
"Scott has served as ATK's CFO for the past four years and has done an outstanding job," said PDM. "I have now asked Scott to concentrate on corporate growth and supporting all related aspects of ATK's activity in this area. Additionally, he will retain the helm on strategic planning, investor relations, and information systems.
"Eric will be responsible for our finance, audit, and treasury operations. We will benefit especially from his extensive knowledge of our industry, our products, and our financial controls gained over the course of his 17-year association with Honeywell and ATK as a Deloitte & Touche employee and partner. He also is well known and respected by our board of directors and our finance staff."
Rangen is a partner in the Minneapolis office of the public accounting firm Deloitte & Touche LLP, where his clients have included ATK and other public companies in the manufacturing, energy, and financial services industries.
Rangen began his accounting career with Deloitte & Touche in 1983. He has extensive experience in structuring business combinations and joint ventures and contract accounting. Other areas of expertise include regulatory filings, registration statements, proxy statements, initial public offerings, and income taxes. He was named a partner of Deloitte & Touche in 1994, and has been responsible for the firm's Minneapolis quality assurance and risk management functions. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration in accounting from the University of Minnesota.
